LifePoints - Terminology

What are LifePoints?

LifePoints are rewards for your time, opinions, and data. LifePoints are earned for most surveys you qualify for once you complete them. Let them accumulate and you can then redeem them for one of the award options available to you in our Rewards Center.

What happens if I screen out or do not qualify for a survey?

Market researchers are often looking for the opinions of a very specific group of people. For example, users of a particular type of clothing or brand of soap. If you don't meet the qualifications for a survey you might be "screened out" or get a message that says you're "not qualified" to complete the survey. Don't take it personally! The more you fill out your profile, the more we can get to know you. This way, we can send you surveys that you DO qualify for more often.

What are profile surveys? Why should I fill out my profile?

These surveys help us learn more about your background, habits, interests and hobbies. Completing these surveys and keeping them up to date allows us to send you more surveys that might interest you and better matches your lifestyle.

What happens if a survey is closed or quota is reached?

Sometimes surveys require only a limited number of responses per category, for instance, from a region or age group. Once these quotas have been filled, the survey must be closed. The best way to make sure you can take surveys is to check the list of opportunities daily!

What should I do if the survey I want to take is temporarily unavailable?

If you receive this error message, please wait 24 hours before returning to the link and attempting to complete the survey again. Please contact our help desk if a similar issue occurs on the same survey 24 hours after your first attempt.

What does LifePoints do with data collected from surveys and other earning opportunities?

We calculate aggregate results by combining your responses with those provided by other members who have also completed the earning opportunity. The data is stored in a database that can be analyzed by our clients in a way that always conceals your individual identity. LifePoints - Registration / Sign-Up Process

Am I eligible to join?

You are eligible to join the LifePoints consumer panel if you reside in the United States. To join this panel, you must be at least 14 years of age. View our Terms of Use.

How do I become a member?

To become a member of LifePoints, you need to download our app and complete the sign up process. Once you successfully complete the registration process, you will be able to start participating in surveys as a LifePoints member.

How do I earn Rewards? How do I get paid?

LifePoints will reward you for every survey or activity you complete with LifePoints or Sweepstakes Entries, if you are eligible. Once you have accumulated enough LifePoints, you may redeem them for awards available to you in the Rewards Center.

Is the mobile app LifePoints available in my country?

Currently, we are only operating in the United States. However, we plan to expand to other countries in the future. Please let us know if you would like to use or download our app in a country outside of the United States. You can file a request with our Help Desk to for service in your country here.

Is there a cost to join this online community?

LifePoints does not charge a fee to join the panel or download the app. Membership is completely free. LifePoints will never charge you fees for participating in online surveys.

My country isn't listed. Can I join?

Unfortunately, you will not be able to join our panel if the country you reside in isn't mentioned in our list of operating countries.

Why do people choose to join LifePoints?

LifePoints - Rewards Programs

Do LifePoints ever expire?

LifePoints expire three years from the date of award or sooner, after twelve (12) months of no account activity.

Can I cancel my redemption or return my LifePoints?

Unfortunately, once a redemption has been made, we are unable to cancel it and/or return the points to your account.

How can I see how many LifePoints I have currently?

Please log onto the app and click on the Rewards page at the bottom of the home screen. From there, you can review your earning history and track how many LifePoints you currently have on your account. We break down your earnings based on the category so you can see what activities are providing you the best earning opportunity.

How many LifePoints are awarded per survey?

The amount of LifePoints awarded per survey varies and depends on the following factors:

  1. The urgency of the online survey -- the more urgent surveys will offer higher incentives
  2. The length of the online survey -- the more time required on your part, the larger the reward.

How can I redeem my LifePoints?

Please log onto the app, click on the Rewards page and then select "Redeem my Points." You can redeem LifePoints for great rewards such as PayPal vouchers and e-gift certificates from Amazon, Starbucks, iTunes and many more great options.

What types of rewards can I redeem with my LifePoints?

Once you are ready to redeem your LifePoints, you must navigate to the Rewards page and then click "Redeem My Points" at the bottom of the screen. LifePoints can be redeemed for great rewards such as PayPal vouchers and e-gift certificates from Amazon, Starbucks, iTunes and many more great options.

Why didn't I get rewarded for a survey?

Shortly after completing the survey your account is credited with the reward stated in the survey invitation. If you were not awarded the right amount of LifePoints or Sweepstakes entries for completing a survey, please contact us and provide the survey number you are referring to. Unfortunately, we are unable to look into the issue without a survey number.

Occasionally, for some surveys including diaries, forums, discussion boards, webcams, etc, we do not credit your points until the entire survey is closed. If you have completed the survey, you should see the points added to your account within 6-8 weeks of participation.

Once you have allowed this time to pass, if you still have not received the the correct amount of points, please let us know.

I have not received my PayPal fund, how long before I receive them?

PayPal Funds typically will be sent within 10 business days after you redeemed. If you have confirmed that you have not received the fund in your Paypal account, please let us know and we will research for you. Please provide the correct email address for your Paypal account.

I have not received my E-Certificate, how long before I receive it?

E-certificate email typically will be sent within 10 business days after you redeemed. Please keep in mind e-certificate codes are emailed to you from PERKS and may end up in your SPAM/JUNK folder. If it has been longer than 10 business days, if you did not receive the email sent to you containing your code(s), you can request the e-certificate code(s) to be resent by clicking the "Resend" link below.

What are sweepstakes entries? How often do you hold sweepstakes prize drawings?

Sweepstakes Entries may be awarded for completing or screening out of our surveys. For each Sweepstakes Entry you earn, your name will automatically be entered into our quarterly drawing. If you are a winner, you will be notified via email, must follow the instructions and respond before the deadline provided.

Why am I receiving sweepstakes entries instead of LifePoints?

LifePoints panelists accrue rewards for every survey or activity they participate in. Although LifePoints are the primary incentive offered to our panelists as a reward, you can also receive sweepstakes entries to quarterly drawings. Our clients encourage an assortment of incentives in order to ensure the highest level of engagement. Plus, it gives some of our panelists the opportunity to be the lucky winner of a grand prize! How do I know if I am eligible to receive Sweepstake entries?

Sweepstakes entries are available and offered to panelists in the United States. At this time, Sweepstakes entries are only offered in some countries as certain countries prohibit Sweepstakes drawings or enforce strict regulations.

How will I know if I'm the winner of a sweepstakes drawing?

You will be notified via email. Please be sure to read the email thoroughly and follow the instructions on how to claim your prize. See some of our recent sweepstakes winners.

LifePoints - Paid Surveys

How do I get and qualify for more surveys on LifePoints?

Completing and keeping your profile surveys up-to-date will qualify you to participate in more market research surveys that are relevant to your lifestyle and interests. Participation in the Daily Challenge will also ensure we know as much relevant information about you as possible, which helps us match you to appropriate earning opportunities. Lastly, our Booster is uniquely designed to help you ensure you are boosting your earning potential. Check that section of the app to make sure you've maximized your earning opportunities.

I have not received survey invites or other earning opportunities, what should I do?

Please be sure your profile surveys are up to date. We use the information you provide to send surveys that match your lifestyle and interests. Also, check our Booster to see what else you can do to boost or increase your earning potential.

What is the process for taking surveys on LifePoints?

Surveys invitations can be viewed on the home screen after you log into your LifePoints account via the mobile app. All you need is your mobile phone and internet access. While the length of survey varies, on average, it takes 10 minutes to complete a survey. Upon completion of the survey or task, you will be rewarded for every survey you take with either LifePoints or Sweepstakes Entries, if eligible.

I have a problem accessing a survey, what should I do?

Please contact our help desk if you have trouble accessing a survey 24 hours after your first attempt. Somebody will respond to your request in 2 - 3 business days after you file a ticket.

How many LifePoints are awarded per survey?

Each invitation will tell you how many LifePoints or Sweepstakes entries you will earn for completing a survey or task. The amount of the reward will vary depending on two factors: The urgency of the survey or activity -- more urgent surveys will offer higher incentives. The length of the survey or activity -- the more time required on your part, the larger the reward.

Why am I being asked the same questions in surveys I have already answered in my profile surveys?

We do our best to ensure that if you tell us your age, for example, we won't ask you for the same information again. But sometimes it's unavoidable, and we ask for your understanding when this does occur. It can happen, for example, when you participate in a survey along with other respondents whose information is not known. To ensure consistency among responses, market researchers will sometimes ask everyone for basic information on age, gender or location (including you). We know that being asked for duplicate information can be a bit frustrating, and we try to reduce the need for it to the extent possible.

How can I view or update my account information?

To view or update your personal details, you must first login to LifePoints via our app, then select "My Profile" where you can view your settings or change your account information.

How do I change my home address or country of residence?

You can update your account information such as home address or country of residence in the settings section of the app, which is under profile.

How do I change my password?

  1. Log in to your account via the mobile app
  2. Select on 'My Profile' on the navigation bar
  3. Click on 'Change Password'
  4. Complete the form and click 'Save Changes'

What should I do if I can't log into my account?

Please contact our Help Desk and describe the specific issues you have experienced when attempting to sign into your LifePoints account. Somebody will respond to your request within 2 - 3 business days.

What should I do if I forgot the email address or password that I used to sign up?

Please contact our Help Desk and provide the email address and/or password you originally used to sign up for your service. Somebody will respond to your request within 2 - 3 business days.

What should I do if I need to change my name on my account?

Please contact us and provide the name you wish to change to and provide us with the reason as to why you are making this request.

Why should I update my profile surveys?

The profile surveys are available on the Surveys page of your account. The status of each profile survey is displayed along with the date of the last update. Keeping these profile surveys up-to-date will increase your chances of receiving more survey invitations that are relevant to your lifestyle and interests.

Why was I disabled from LifePoints?

There are several reasons why a member can be disabled from the LifePoints community:

  • SPAM complaints - LifePoints must adhere to strict SPAM regulations. We are required to disable any email address linked to a SPAM complaint in our database. If you feel that your account was closed by mistake, please contact us to reactivate your membership. In the meantime please add to your safe sender or contact list.
  • Account cancellation - You contacted us and requested we cancel your LifePoints account. If you would like to reactivate your account please contact us.
  • Email Bounce - A few emails we sent to you were bounced back to us as undeliverable therefore causing your account to close. This is caused by a spam filter in place on your email account, an invalid email address, or a full mailbox. Please be sure to add, to your list of contacts or safe senders to ensure our emails are able to reach you.
  • User Agreement violation - If we feel that you violated our Terms of Use, we will disable your account and all LifePoints and awards will be forfeited. For further details, please refer to our Terms of Use. If you are still unable to sign in to your account, please contact us and provide your email address registered with LifePoints.

How do I cancel my LifePoints membership?

You can choose to terminate your LifePoints membership at any time. To cancel your account, you can simply uninstall the mobile application on your phone.

What is the Booster? How can I boost my earning potential?

The Booster is a shortcut to help you ensure you're optimizing your earning potential. If there are any ways you can earn LifePoints, the Booster will supply you with details on how to opt into those opportunities. For example, by turning on App Notifications, Geolocation Services, or participating in the Daily Challenge, you can boost your earning potential. Ultimately, it's a quick way to check to make sure you're maximizing your earning power!

What is the Daily Challenge? How can I participate?

The LifePoints Daily Challenge is an engaging opportunity to tell us something new about yourself each day. If you answer 30 questions within 30 days, you can get a 15% booster!

What is Earn On The Go? How can I participate?

Earn on The Go is a survey activity that is triggered by your location. However, it is exclusive to members who turn on Geo-Location services. In order to send you a location based survey, we need to know where you are! Sometimes you will be asked a series of questions based on your current location. Other times, we will ask you to visit a certain location such as a coffee shop or grocery store to answer a series of questions. It's a fun way to earn on the go!

What is my Personality Profile? How can I participate?

The Personality Profile is meant to help you learn something about yourself and explore the unique dimensions of your personality. Within your Personality Profile, you can explore and unlock up to 14 dimensions of your personality. This feature is only available to our mobile app users who start surveys. Every fifth survey that you start earns you a change to unlock another dimension of your personality.

What is Hit or Miss? How can I participate?

Hit or Miss allows you to spot the latest and greatest trends. Every day, we will serve up 10 visuals that you can rate as a “hit” or a “miss” in your opinion. Find out if others agree or not when you socially share your findings.

How can I review my earnings history on LifePoints?

You can review your survey activity and account history on LifePoints by clicking on the “History” button within account settings.

How can I make sure my personal information is secure on LifePoints?

Your account information is safe with us. We will never use, sell or share your personal information without your permission. We will never share your personal information that could be used to identify you either.

How can I create a secure password on LifePoints?

Always create and use unique passwords. We recommend that you utilize a variety of letters (lower and upper case), numbers and symbols. Never share your passwords with anyone and try to change them as frequently as possible.

How can I make sure my session is secure on LifePoints?

Make sure you keep your applications and browsers up to date. The updates offered by your provider typically contain the latest information and most important security updates.

How do I ensure my Operating System (OS) is secure?

We recommend having your smartphone operating system (OS) automatic update option set to ‘enabled’. This ensures that you will be using the latest security measures from your current provider.

How can I log out of LifePoints?

You can log out of LifePoints by clicking “sign out” on the corner of the mobile app. Make sure your browser or app window is fully closed after you have successfully logged out of the app.

I noticed some strange or suspicious activity on my account, what should I do?

Review your LifePoints account regularly and please report any suspicious activity to our help desk.

Is my information safe with LifePoints?

I think I might be the victim of a scam using the LifePoints brand or name. What should I do?

Please alert your local authorities to the issue. If you are not sure if the communication you have received is legitimate, please contact us.
