We take your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy sets out the commitment of Lightspeed, LLC ("Lightspeed"), a Kantar company ("Kantar"), to the privacy of its panellists, and governs panellists’ rights and obligations regarding privacy and data protection. Lightspeed is committed to providing panelists a safe and fair value exchange for their time, data, and opinions. Panellists are members of the LifePoints Mobile Panel and/or of the Lightspeed GlobalTestMarket Panel, individually a “Panel” and collectively the "Panels", operated by Lightspeed. Panel members may be eligible to participate in surveys or other activities ("Services") at Lightspeed’s sole discretion on the LifePoints Mobile Application (“LifePoints App”), on the LifePoints site and on the GlobalTestMarket site. By registering with one of the Panels and creating an account, you accept and consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Lightspeed LLC (“Lightspeed”), operator of the Panels, is committed to safeguarding your privacy online.

This page discloses the privacy practices of the Panels. Please read the following policy to understand how your personal information will be treated as you make full use of our many offerings. This policy may change from time to time so please check back periodically.

Where is my Personal Information stored and how is it transferred to the USA?

Lightspeed’s data storage servers are located in the USA and by third party service providers in the cloud. By participating in the Panels, you specifically agree that Lightspeed may transfer to and store your personal information in the USA and to such third party service providers wherever they might locate their servers.

What personal information does Lightspeed collect from me?

Lightspeed collects information in several ways from different parts of our network of websites. Some personal information is gathered when you register. During registration, Lightspeed asks for a variety of information (e.g., name, email address, zip code, household information, personal interests, etc.). Personal information may also be collected from you when you participate in a market research survey or similar service. The more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we are able to customize your experience. Once you register you are no longer anonymous to Lightspeed -- you are given an account number which you will use to access the various protected areas of the site. Also, if you contact Lightspeed, we may keep a record of that correspondence. Wherever Lightspeed collects your personal information from, we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.

Who is collecting information and for what purpose?

Lightspeed collects information from you which assists brands and marketers in developing and improving products and services. Unless otherwise specifically stated in this Privacy Policy, when you are using the Services of the Panels and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information solely with Lightspeed. If personal information is being collected by or for the benefit of any company other than Lightspeed, you will be notified prior to the time of such data collection. If you do not want your personal information to be shared, you can choose not to allow the transfer by not using that particular service.

Promotions that run on Lightspeed may be sponsored by companies other than Lightspeed or may be co-sponsored by Lightspeed and another company. Some or all data collected during a promotion may be shared with the sponsor. If personal information will be shared, you will be notified prior to the time of data collection or transfer. You can decide not to participate in the promotion if you don't want your personal information to be shared.

Any sensitive information (i.e. personal information specifying medical or health conditions, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership or information specifying the sex life of the individual) will be treated with additional care. If Lightspeed intends to disclose such information to a third party or use it for a different purpose than originally collected, Lightspeed will ask you express permission prior to any such disclosure.

With whom does Lightspeed share my information?

Lightspeed will not disclose any of your personal information without your permission except under special circumstances provided for herein or when we believe in good faith the law requires it. Please see the Terms of Use or Use Agreements for each of our products and services for more detailed information about how your personal information may be shared. The following describes some of the ways that your information may be disclosed.

Business Partners and Sponsors: Lightspeed may disclose your personal information to business partners or sponsors for their own use, but this is specifically described to you prior to collection of such personal information or prior to transferring the data.

Aggregate information may be disclosed to any number of third parties. For example, Lightspeed discloses aggregated user statistics (for example, 45% of our users are female) in order to describe our services to prospective partners, advertisers, and other third parties, and for other lawful purposes.

From time to time, we may share some of your personal information and profiling data with third-party partners to provide limited services on our behalf such as producing research products and services as described below:

- Data Matching Services: We utilize matching services such as Acxiom or Experian to get additional information about you from public and private data sources. The matching service (our partner) holds the personal data we share for a short time, uses it assemble the additional information, and then returns the combined information to us. Partners are not permitted to keep the data we share or use it in any way other than for the mentioned purpose.

- Affiliated Network: We are part of the Kantar Group of companies and may share personal information with affiliates within the Kantar Group in order to develop our products and services. Such affiliates are not permitted to retain the shared data for their own or independent use and may not retain the shared data for any longer than required to complete the project or process.

- Advertising Targeting / Media Buying research: We may use your personal information to match selected data we collect on you through profile building or participating in research surveys with third-party data management platforms. This match will be done to create better online advertising models through lookalike modelling or similar research methodologies to improve other data. Your individual profile will not be used to directly serve you with online advertising or to directly contact you.

- Service Providers: We may use third party service providers to help us process the data that you provide or is collected from you, or to operate our business. From time to time, we may add or remove third party service providers in the normal course of business. Third party service providers are not authorized to retain your personal identifying information for their own or independent use and they may not retain your personal identifying information for any longer than required to perform the mentioned service.

- Other: Lightspeed may also disclose account information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating Lightspeed’s Terms of Use or may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) Lightspeed’s rights or property, other Lightspeed users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. Lightspeed may disclose or access account information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it and for administrative and other purposes that we deem necessary to maintain, service, and improve our products and services.

What are my choices regarding collection, use, and distribution of my personal information?

Only Lightspeed (or agents working on behalf of Lightspeed and under confidentiality agreements) will use your personal details to contact you. 

You also have choices with respect to cookies. By modifying your browser preferences, you have the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you would like to opt-out of only the Lightspeed cookies, the Lightspeed domain for your reference is either or If you choose to reject all cookies or opt-out of accepting Lightspeed cookies you will be unable to use those Lightspeed services that require registration in order to participate.

Except as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy, Lightspeed does not sell or rent personal information to anyone for their own independent use. As described above, we will notify you at the time of data collection or transfer if your personal information will be shared with a third party for their own independent use and you will always have the option of not permitting the transfer. If you do not wish to allow your personal information to be shared in that manner, you can choose not to use a particular service.

What is Lightspeed’s policy on allowing me to update, correct, or delete my personally identifiable information?

Members of Panels may edit their Account Information and their Profile at any time by using their Panel login and password. Your Panel account can be deleted or deactivated. You can choose to terminate your membership at any time by completing this form.

What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of my information?

Your Account Information and Profile are password-protected so that you and only you have access to this personal information.

We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. Lightspeed will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email. Also remember to sign out of your Panel account and close your browser window when you have finished your work. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet cafe. Please change your password regularly.

Whenever Lightspeed handles personal information as described above, regardless of where this occurs, Lightspeed takes steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with the relevant Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or security system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, Lightspeed cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

What else should I know about my privacy?

Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online -- for example on message boards, through email, or in chat areas -- that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online.

How do I cancel/unsubscribe from the Panels?

If you would like to unsubscribe from our Panels and cancel your account, please access your panel account and cancel your membership from the interface.  For the LifePoints App, you would have to uninstall the application.
